Mensor
The complete quantity takeoff platform, connected to your AI assistant.
Mensor reads your construction drawings and takes off the areas, lengths and counts, for every type of project. Your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT) connects to it through an MCP server: you ask for the takeoff, Mensor does the math, and you have the final say on every quantity.

The problem
A quantity takeoff is still done page by page: measure every room, count every symbol, cross-check the legends with the specifications and the door and window schedules. It takes time, and a mistake goes straight into the bid.
You open the project
The project drawings and, if there is one, its specifications.
Mensor takes off
It reads the legends and finds their occurrences on every page: symbols, hatches, walls, doors and windows. It measures rooms, areas and lengths.
Your assistant helps
In the conversation, the assistant reads the specifications and the drawing notes, compares the quantities with the architect’s schedules and drafts the questions to ask.
You confirm
Nothing changes in the project without your approval. The final takeoff comes out per level and for the whole building, in imperial and metric, with an Excel workbook.

Who it is for
- Estimators
- The person preparing the bid stays in control: every proposal from the assistant waits for their confirmation.
Mensor · 04
What sets it apart
- Every quantity is computed from the drawing, not estimated. The AI assistant points to the geometry, the software does the math.
- A quantity only turns green when a dimension or area written by the architect confirms it.
- Every item keeps its origin: detected by the software, added by the estimator or proposed by the assistant.
- Quantities are compared with the drawing’s written schedules: areas, doors, windows, finishes and partition types.
- What the drawing is missing becomes a list of questions for the architect.

Questions about Mensor
What is a quantity takeoff?
It is the measurement of everything a project requires, from its drawings: areas, lengths, numbers of doors, windows or symbols. Estimators use it to prepare a bid.
Does the AI make up quantities?
No. The AI assistant never gives a number on its own: it points to the geometry on the drawing, and the Mensor software computes the quantity. Every proposal waits for your confirmation.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the protocol that connects a tool to an AI assistant such as Claude. With it, you ask for the takeoff in the conversation, and the assistant uses Mensor’s tools directly.
Does Mensor give prices?
No. Mensor gives quantities, not prices: pricing stays with the estimator.
When will Mensor be available?

What Mensor takes off
Rooms and areas
The outline of each room and its area, level by level.
Lengths
Items measured by length, such as a beam, a guardrail or a lintel.
Counts
Symbols, hatches and other legend entries, counted across every page of the project.
Doors and windows
Measured on the drawing, then compared with the architect’s written schedules.
Building envelope
The foundation, the roof and the exterior cladding of the elevations.
Specifications and notes
Specification sections, addenda and general drawing notes, for assemblies, waste factors and heights.
